Greetings in His name,
The staff at the hospital have and are prepared as much as possible. Water, non-perishables, flashlights and batteries are being collected. Staff that is on call will be staying at or near the hospital if the situation is not safe. Most importantly, they have been asked to pray.
Your prayers are needed, felt, and highly valued. The missionaries presently at the hospital are Kurt and Joan Plattner with children Reggie, Toby, Hadley and Brenna, Dr. Pat Banwart, and Bob and Sue Beebe. Lift them up.
Aberle's made it safely to Port with hopes of flying out early Monday (today) morning, only to have flights cancelled through Tuesday. We are in a hotel near the airport and have taken our own preparations. We ask for your prayers as well.
This is a tough post for me to write....We absolutely know God intended us to be here in Port...but in my weakness and frailty as a man, I am torn...a big part of me desires to be there with our staff and missionaries in this hour....
Matthew 8[26] And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
